Scotts Bluff National Monument
The National Park Service protects 3,000 acres in Nebraska at Scotts Bluff National Monument. Scotts Bluff towers 800 feet above the North Platte river and has served as a prominent landmark for native Americans, pioneers on the Oregon, California and Mormon Trails, the Pony Express, and still for travelers today. The park is rich with geological, paleontological, and human history.
