Raccoon Creek State Park
Raccoon Creek State Park is a Recreational Demonstration Area operated by the National Park Service since the 1930's. One of the largest and most beautiful state parks in Pennsylvania (7,572-acres). The park features the beautiful 101-acre Raccoon Lake, early Civilian Conservation Corps camp, Frankfort Springs Historic Landmark, and a Wildflower Reserve with 4.5 miles of trails for hiking only. The hiking trails wander through fields, forests, meadows and along Raccoon Creek.
Hiking Trails
The 44 miles of trails offer a wide variety of hiking options to meet the needs of the casual day hiker as well as the overnight backpacker looking for a challenge within a wilderness setting, and also biking, horseback riding and cross-country skiing.
