Gauley River National Recreation Area
The National Park Service protects scenic gorges and valleys along 25 miles of the Gauley river and six miles of the Meadow river in West Virginia. Gauley River has several class V+ rapids, making it one of the most wild and wonderful white-water boating rivers in the east.
