Official State Muffin of Massachusetts
After petitioning from the schoolchildren of Massachusetts, the corn muffin (a staple of New England cooking) was recognized as the official state muffin of Massachusetts in 1986. All State Foods
Bay Staters also recognize several more food symbols; a state dessert, donut, cookie, bean, berry, and beverage.
